Update your information

Log in to LOUIE to update your:

  • e-mail address
  • emergency contact information
  • home or mailing address

Once you are in LOUIE, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Self Service”
  2. Click on “Campus Personal Information”
  3. Select the item you would like to update.

Update Phone Numbers

NAU employee work phone numbers are maintained by the ITS Telecom Department.  To have your work number updated please contact the ITS solution center at (928) 523-1511 or email: Ask-ITS@nau.edu.   All other phone numbers can be updated by Logging in to LOUIE

Update dependent information

To update information for dependents:

  1. Log in to LOUIE.
  2. Click “Self Service”
  3. Click “Benefits Summary”
  4. Click “NAU Basic Life”
  5. Click on the dependent's name you wish to update.
  6. Click “Edit”
  7. Once you have made your updates, click "Save".

Update your address with retirement provider 

If you update your address with the university, you also need to update your address with your benefit plan providers.   

  • Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS): To update your address, phone, email, beneficiaries or marital status with Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) login here
  • Optional Retirement Plan (ORP): To update your address, phone, email, beneficiaries or marital status with your Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) contact your provider directly.

Name change 

If you, a dependent, or a plan beneficiary has a name change, apply for a new Social Security card with the Social Security Administration.

Once you receive a new Social Security card bearing your new name:

  • Complete the Employee Primary Name Change Form
    • Enter your seven-digit employee identification.
    • Check the appropriate box for the name change and enter date of event.
    • Provide all of the essential information in the space provided.
    • Sign, date and print name legibly.
  • Print and return the form along with the original Social Security card and photo identification as well to Human Resources for processing.

  • Direct Deposit
  • A-4
  • W-4

Once you are in LOUIE, follow these steps:

  1. Click on “Self Service”
  2. Click on “Payroll and Compensation”
  3. Select the item you would like to update.
