Honors and Theatre
Season holds an MA degree in Theatre with an emphasis in Women’s Studies from Texas State University as well as a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from Bowling Green State University. Her research areas include Theatre Performance and History, the study of Performance in Daily Life, Gender and Diversity Studies, and Animal Performance (both in daily life and on stage). She has a number of short manifestos and book reviews published and is currently working on an essay about Victorian gender performance in contemporary sidesaddle equestrian riding competitions. Season grew up in the south and has spent a number of years in the Midwest. She was thrilled last year to move to Flagstaff because of her love of animals and the outdoors. When she is not at work, she spends her time training horses, riding, working on her mini-ranch, and hiking with her dogs. She also makes homemade herbal dog and horse cookies.
