Biography
Harry retired in 1998 from a long career teaching at Kofa
High School, his Yuma alma mater. Harry is currently the managing member of
Western Financial Partners, LLC in Yuma. He is the recipient of numerous awards
including the 1996 Olympic Torch Bearer; the 1996 Northern Arizona University
Alumni Service Award; and the 1997 Northern Arizona University Distinguished
Alumni Award. In 2008, Harry was inducted into the Yuma County Education Hall
of Fame, and in 2009 he received the Joe and Marie Rolle Spirit of NAU Award.
Additionally, he has served or is serving on a number of boards including the
NAU-Yuma Branch Campus Advisory Board; Northern Arizona University
International Alumni Association (president); Coalition for Solutions through
Higher Education (co-chair); Leadership Council for the College of Education at
Northern Arizona University; and the Board of Directors for the Yuma County
Chamber of Commerce. Harry has been instrumental in the
development and organization of the NAU Classic Golf Tournament and scholarship
programs for students attending NAU. Harry is married to Maureen, also a
retired Yuma teacher and currently an adjunct professor for NAU. They have two
grown children, both NAU graduates, and six grandchildren.
