Parent PLUS and Grad PLUS Loans
The Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) loan is available to parents of dependent undergraduate students to assist in
paying for educational costs. To complete the Parent PLUS Loan Application, the student’s parent
will need to use the PIN that they created for the FAFSA. The parent will
also have to undergo a credit check.

funds will be sent to the parent, or to the student if the parent wishes.
If denied, the parent can seek an endorser/cosigner (information will be sent to parent), and/or appeal the decision (a form will be sent to parent). The student will then be eligible for an additional unsubsidized loan of the following amounts:
- Freshmen and sophomores: $4,000
- Juniors and seniors: $5,000
