Scholarships

A scholarship is financial aid awarded on the basis of academic merit or other achievement. Scholarships do not need to be repaid.

A grant is a form of gift aid that does not need to be paid back. Each grant has different requirements and funding levels.

Loans

A student loan is borrowed money that must be repaid, and can only be used for educational expenses. Most loans have fees with an average repayment period of 10 years.
