There's a Reason I'm a Teacher 2016
Friday April 1, 2016 brings the 15th annual There’s A Reason I’m a Teacher Conference to NAU’s College of Education.
This year's theme is "Teaching on the Front Line: Interrupting the Crisis"
This conference provides a professional development opportunity for our teacher candidates as they interact with recognized outstanding teachers through keynote addresses and breakout sessions. Our teacher candidates will take away best practices used daily in the classrooms they will soon be overseeing as they enter the teaching profession. The College of Education is grateful and proud to present this conference in partnership with the Arizona K-12 Center, Council of Chief State School Officers, Arizona Educational Foundation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona.
Featuring Top Educators
2016 Arizona Teacher of the Year
Newly named 2016 Arizona Teacher of the Year, Christine Marsh is in her 24th year of teaching at Chaparral High School. Much of her success as a teacher can be attributed to her belief in helping students feel valued in and out of the classroom. She believes that outstanding teaching is more a factor of a teacher’s relationships with students than his or her knowledge of a subject matter.
