Share in the celebration
As the guest of a graduate, we are honored to have you celebrate commencement with us. To ensure that you have the best experience possible, we've included a few quick tips here, for your convenience. Guest seating is open (no reserved seats), but we request no more than 10 guests per graduate attend the ceremony. Tickets are not required.
1. Find your ceremony
Check the commencement schedule to find the date and time of your graduate’s ceremony and reception.
2. Arrive early
Parking and seating will get crowded as it gets close to the beginning of the ceremony. Early arrival will ensure you don’t get stuck in traffic and that you'll have a better choice of seats. Doors will open 90 minutes before the commencement ceremony.
Parking will be available at multiple locations across campus with free shuttle buses to take attendees to the ceremony. If you plan to attend a reception on campus, we recommend that you park near the building where your graduate's reception will be held and take the shuttle to the ceremony.
Plan ahead with our parking and traffic map.
4. Meet your party outside the Skydome
Please meet your graduate outside of the Skydome following the ceremony. Graduates will participate in a formal recessional leading the graduates outside of the Skydome. Graduates and families will not be allowed on the Skydome floor following the ceremony.
5. Disability accommodations
Guests do not need to call ahead for accessible seating
accommodations. The Skydome has accessible seating with companion seating for
individuals in wheelchairs and scooters, as well as designated seating for
those who have trouble negotiating stairs. We recommend that individuals who
need assistance or accessible seating arrive an hour before the ceremony.
Please contact the Equity and Access Office as early as possible at
928-523-3312 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you have questions about access or other accommodation
