Campaign Progress

The Campaign for NAU: Only at NAU is the largest fundraising campaign in the university's 114-year history.

With a goal of raising $100 million, the Campaign will dramatically increase private support for scholarships and fellowships for NAU students; new programmatic improvements for students; endowed chairs and research support for faculty; and countless enhancements across the student learning and living experience.

University Budget - Revenue Sources

Fiscal Year 2013 actual revenue sources equaled 460 million dollars. State general fund equaled 107 million dollars. Tuition and fees equaled 173 million dollars. Grants and contracts equaled 40 million dollars. Federal financial aid equaled 37 million dollars. Private gifts equaled 13 million dollars. TRIF equaled 12 million dollars. Auxiliary revenue equaled 51 million dollars. Other revenue equaled 27 million dollars. Student headcount equaled 26, 002 students.

FY 2013 Expenditures (Unaudited, in millions)

Instruction, Academic Support, and Student Support equals 60% of expenditures. Instruction is 142 million dollars. Academic support is 32 million dollars. Student services is 40 million dollars. Institutional support is 4 million dollars. Public service is 27 million dollars. Research is 20 million dollars. Operation and maintenance of plant is 23 million dollars. Scholarships and fellowships is 24 million dollars.
