Many of our degrees and programs include the following programs and partnerships.

Flagstaff Professional Partnership Program at Knoles and Sinagua – an elementary education site-based teacher preparation program, which provides: 

• teaching while you learn
• integrated courses with a focus on literature and literacy
• all education course requirements and your own classroom at the school
• opportunities to be culturally-responsive, reflective practitioners
• hundreds of hours in the classroom (K through middle school)

DeMiguel/Mountain Professional Development School Program (PDS)– an elementary site-based teacher preparation program, which provides:

• a focus on school innovation to prepare pre-service teachers to become agents of change
• all education course requirements
• integration of theory and practice within multiple and diverse learning contexts
• guided experiences at school sites
• field visits to innovative schools
• hundreds of hours in the classroom (K through middle school)

PRAXIS Program– a dual major special/elementary education site-based teacher preparation program offered at an elementary school, which provides:

• dual certification in K-8 general education and K-12 special education
• a three-semester program and with your own classroom
• opportunities to work with children with and without disabilities
