Many of our degrees and programs include the following
programs and partnerships.
Flagstaff Professional Partnership Program at Knoles and Sinagua – an
elementary education site-based teacher preparation program, which provides:
- teaching while you learn
- integrated courses with a focus on literature
and literacy
- all education course requirements and your own classroom
at the school
- opportunities to be culturally-responsive,
reflective practitioners
- hundreds of hours in the classroom (K through middle school)
DeMiguel/Mountain Professional
Development School Program (PDS)– an elementary site-based teacher
preparation program, which provides:
- a focus on school innovation to prepare
pre-service teachers to become agents of change
- all education course requirements
- integration of theory and practice within
multiple and diverse learning contexts
- guided experiences at school sites
- field visits to innovative schools
- hundreds of hours in the classroom (K through middle school)

PRAXIS Program– a dual major special/elementary education site-based teacher preparation program offered at an elementary school, which provides:
- dual certification in K-8 general education and K-12 special education
- a three-semester program and with your own classroom
- opportunities to work with children with and without disabilities
