We regret that this program is now closed.

Beginning Monday June 1, 2015 and continuing until July 16, 2015, the Northern Arizona University America Reads Program is pleased to offer a free summer tutoring program at the downtown Flagstaff Public Library branch (Youth Services) for the 2015-2016 academic year.  The purpose of this program is to help children increase their skills and achievement levels in reading and provide homework assistance to participants in the program.

Children enrolled in the program will meet with an experienced tutor each week for assistance with reading, math, or homework-related activities.  This program is open to students enrolling in grades K-5 for the 2015-2016 school year.  Sessions will be 45 minutes to one hour long and will be scheduled based on parent and tutor schedules, from 10:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday-Thursday.

To enroll your child/ren in this program please complete a registration form available online, or pick up an application at the downtown Flagstaff Public Library branch, Youth Services area.  Please submit completed applications to americareads@nau.edu or drop off applications to the Youth Services area at the library.  Parents and guardians of participants are expected to remain in the library during the tutoring sessions.  For more information, please call Chanel Turner or Nadia Carvajal at (928) 523-0366.
