1. Alpha Delta Kappa Future Educator Scholarship- NAU mountain campus
  1. Be enrolled full-time at NAU mountain campus.
  2. Be a student in good standing in the field of Education (GPA 3.0)
  3. Completed at least Junior year of studies.
  4. Have career plans to become an educator.
  5. Preference will be given to student during term of student teaching.

  1. Be enrolled full-time at NAU YUMA campus.
  2. Be a student in good standing in the field of Education (GPA 3.0)
  3. Completed at least Junior year of studies.
  4. Have career plans to become an educator.

3. Lillian Jane Baker Teacher Education Fund
  1. The recipient must be enrolled in the College of Education.
  2. Must be a junior or senior.
  3. Must have selected elementary level or early childhood teaching as their intended career.
4. Silverio T. Barreras Scholarship
  1. Student must be a graduate of Miami High School, Miami AZ.
  2. Undergraduate, admitted into the Teacher Education Program at NAU.
  3. Majoring in elementary or secondary education.
  4. Preference given to students demonstrating financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
5. Anne Tracy Bolton and Michael Edward Bolton Education Scholarship
  1. Legal resident of the United States of America.
  2. Enrolled as an undergraduate student in the College of Education at NAU.
  3. Preference for a full-time undergraduate student on the mountain campus in Flagstaff, AZ.
  4. Achieve and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Demonstrate financial need.
6. Margaret Hall Clements Scholarship
  1. Junior or senior standing.
  2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
  3. Education major.
  4. Financial need NOT required.
  5. Selected on merit or academic potential.
7. Delta Kappa Gamma/Virginia Coffey Scholarship
  1. Preference shall be given to women who come from the geographical area close to Sun City.
  2. Majoring in Education.
  3. Junior or senior standing.
  4. Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  5. Financial need documented through NAU Financial Aid Office.
8. Doris C. Dunford Memorial Scholarship
  1. First year students who graduated from a Flagstaff area high school with a declared interest in becoming a teacher in any field and enrolled in the preeducation major.
  2. The recipient should demonstrate interest and ability to succeed both in the classroom and the community.
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  4. Financial need is not a consideration.
  5. If the student continues progress toward becoming a teacher, he/she will be awarded this scholarship annually for four years. If the student does not uphold these standards, the scholarship will be awarded to another first year student.
9. Lacey A. Eastburn Memorial Scholarship
  1. Must be full-time student (12 credit hours or more).
  2. Admitted to the Teacher Education Program.
  3. Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
  4. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
10. Charles Fauset Teacher Education Scholarship
  1. Must be a senior or fifth year student.
  2. Admitted into Teacher Education Program.
  3. Resident of the State of Arizona.
  4. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  5. Financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid is a primary consideration.
11. Dr. Claudette Bonjean Gronski Scholarship in Education
  1. Arizona resident
  2. US citizen
  3. Majoring in Elementary Education (K-8)
  4. Demonstrate academic excellence with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  5. Demonstrate financial need to fulfill student teaching requirements
  6. Demonstrate past and present community service
12. Drs. Margaret A. (Cibik) Hughes & Eugene M. Hughes College of Education Scholarship
  1. Undergraduate student, at the sophomore level or above, enrolled in the College of Education.
  2. Minimum grade point average at the University level of 3.0.
  3. Meets or exceeds, each academic year, the Academic Progress Standards used by the Government for students receiving Federal Grants/Aid.
  4. Renewable for maximum of three years if the award begins at the sophomore level, and or "pro-rated" thereafter if initially awarded to a student above the sophomore level, i.e., renewal for two years if awarded for the junior level or one year if awarded to a senior.
  5. Preference will be given to students who have not received other scholarships or "gift aid" (with the exception of a Federal Grant).
13. Raymond Kellis CEE Scholarship
  1. Education major.
  2. Junior standing.
  3. Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  4. Goal toward teaching career.
  5. Financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
14. Wilfred and Joyce Killip and Family Scholarship
  1. Graduated from a Flagstaff District High School.
  2. Undergraduate, majoring in education (future teacher).
  3. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
  4. Financial need not a primary concern.
15. Carol Lorek Scholarship to Support Student Teacher Excellence
  1. Awarded to a first generation university student.
  2. Enrolled as an undergraduate student in the COE at the NAU mountain campus.
  3. Demonstrated academic excellence with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or above (where A = 4.0).
  4. Demonstrated financial need.
  5. Earmarked for a student during his/her student teaching experience.
  6. Two $500 scholarships per academic year, one for each semester, fall and spring, and to a different student each semester.
16. Christa A. McAuliffe/Challenger Scholarship
  1. Undergraduate student.
  2. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
  3. Admitted into the Teacher Education Program.
  4. Special consideration given to student with financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
17. Rick Morrison Memorial Scholarship
  1. U.S. Citizen.
  2. Resident of the State of Arizona.
  3. Junior or senior student majoring in Education.
  4. GPA of 3.0 or above.
18. Perrill-McRuer Family Education Scholarship
  1. Enrolled full time in the NAU College of Education as an undergraduate
  2. Be in good standing at the time of the scholarship award
  3. Be in the junior or senior year, excluding those in their student teaching semesters
  4. Have an overall GPA between 2.0 and 3.0
  5. Demonstrate financial need

  1. Enrolled in the College of Education at NAU.
  2. Must be a resident of the State of Arizona.
  3. Achieve and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
  4. Demonstrate financial need.
20. James "Tuffy" and Enid Rice Memorial Scholarship
  1. Full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours).
  2. U.S. Citizen.
  3. Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the time of selection.
  4. Junior or senior standing.
  5. Admitted into the Teacher Education Program.
21. The Gabrielle K. Riddle Memorial Scholarship
  1. Incoming freshman recently graduating from Coconino High School, Flagstaff, Arizona.
  2. Enrolled full-time (12 credits or more per semester) at NAU Flagstaff campus.
  3. Student majoring in Elementary Education and/or COE Special Education program.
22. Dr. Douglas Edwin and Nancy Cooksey Rutan Education Scholarship
  1. Legal resident of the United States of America.
  2. Enrolled as an undergraduate student in the College of Education at NAU Flagstaff campus.
  3. First preference for out-of-state students majoring in Elementary Education. If no out-of-state student majoring in Elementary Education meets this criteria, then an in-state student majoring in Elementary Education at the Flagstaff campus can be substituted.
  4. Achieve and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above (where A = 4.0).
23. James C. and Tamara J. Shermen Education Scholarship
  1. US citizen
  2. Enrolled as an undergraduate student in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University
  3. Preference for a full time student on the mountain campus in Flagstaff;  however, is a part time student has unique health, financial, parental, or other compelling issues, consideration will be given to a part time undergraduate student.
  4. Achieve and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  5. Demonstrate financial need
24. Simo-Neikirk Scholarship
  1. Legal resident of the United States of America.
  2. Enrolled as an undergraduate student in the College of Education at NAU.
  3. Achieve and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.90 or above (where A = 4.0).
  4. Preference for a student that doesn't receive other scholarships.
  5. Student is involved in something beyond classroom (i.e. student athlete, community service, volunteer, paid employment or other).
  6. Students that qualify for this scholarship will be required to complete a type-written creative response to two questions that will be supplied at a later time.
25. Mary Lou Thompson Arnold Scholarship
  1. Admitted into Teacher Education Program.
  2. Elementary education major.
  3. Junior or senior standing.
  4. Financial need is NOT to be a factor.
26. Jack and Louise Utley Education Scholarship
  1. Majoring in academic discipline within COE.
  2. Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (12 or more credit hours) student.
  3. Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the time of selection.
  4. Must be a US citizen.
27. Helen V. Wren Memorial Elementary Education Scholarship
  1. Admitted to Teacher Education Program.
  2. Must be elementary education major.
  3. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above.
  4. Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate (12 or more credit hours).
  5. Consideration in personal character (organizational activities, leadership roles, service to others, etc).
  6. Preference to Arizona High School graduates.
  7. Must be a US citizen.
28. Weitzel/Wren Elementary Education Scholarship
  1. Junior or senior elementary education major (60 completed credit hours or more).
  2. Cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  3. Preference shall be given to students with an impressive academic history and strong personal character.
