Arizona Business & Education Coalition
The Arizona Business and Education Coalition (ABEC) was
founded in 2002 after voters passed Proposition 301, a ballot initiative which
delegated more money into the classrooms of public K-12 education. Many
of those same business and education leaders, who came together to support
Proposition 301, founded ABEC.
Arizona College Scholarship Foundation
As the working world becomes increasingly more competitive, the adults of tomorrow will have to invest in higher education. But as the cost of tuition rises, more and more low-income students who want to pursue a successful career need access to the ever-shrinking pool of scholarship dollars. To fill this gap, the private sector is stepping up to the challenge to create funding for Arizona students in need.
Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education
The mission of the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education (ACPE) is to expand access and increase successes in postsecondary education for Arizonans. Our goals are:
Increase available student financial assistance.
Identify and implement strategies to help students and families plan, enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
Provide a forum for all sectors of postsecondary education to work together on addressing and solving issues of mutual interest.
Arizona Community Foundation
The Arizona Community Foundation and its statewide Affiliates harness the collective generosity of thousands of Arizonans, steward their gifts with an eye toward permanence and growth, and from the investment earnings on the endowment, award millions of dollars in grants and scholarships every year.
Arizona Department of Education
The Arizona Department of Education and its chief position, a publicly elected state Superintendent of Public Instruction, were created upon the ratification of the Arizona Constitution. The job of the state superintendent is to “superintend” the K-12 public education system in Arizona through the state department of education. As stated in the state constitution, this involves providing for the students of Arizona a uniform public school system including kindergarten schools, common schools, high schools and normal schools.
