CACREP Accreditation Continues

EPS’ M.A. Counseling and M.Ed. School Counseling Continues CACREP Accreditation through March 31, 2016

The Board of Directors of the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) met January 2014 for the purpose of rendering accreditation decisions.

CACREP, a specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA), has granted accreditation to the following programs in the Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education at Northern Arizona University: Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A. degree) in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson, and the School Counseling (M.Ed. degree) in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson.

The Board based the above listed accreditation decisions on an extensive review of the self-study documents, the visiting teams’ report, and the institution’s responses to the visiting team report.
