The professors are experienced and welcoming, and there are plenty of learning resources and free on-campus tutoring services. Classes are small, which makes it easier to focus and interact with the teacher. The great advising staff always provided help and guided me to the right academic path.”

    • “Northern Arizona University and Flagstaff have really surprised me. We have excellent professors, and our classes are small so we have the opportunity to ask for advice more frequently. All of the student services support our studies, like the Cline Library, which is open late for those of us who are nocturnal, and has all the equipment needed for our projects. The Health and Learning Center is another great place with fun activities like Zumba and rock climbing. I´ve had the opportunity to make friends from all over the world, and I have really enjoyed being at Northern Arizona University and Flagstaff.”

The professors are always dedicated to helping students in a way I didn't see at other universities. I've been here a year and a half, but still enjoy my moments in Flagstaff. • “The reason that I chose Northern Arizona University was because of the Hotel and Restaurant Management program, which is ranked as one of the world's best for industry research. The school also ranks 22nd out of the top 100 programs that provided the most scholarly contributions to 11 prominent hospitality and tourism referred journals from 2002 to 2006. Our professors are very helpful; they give you help and advice in class, career, and life. Northern Arizona University also provides a great social environment for students, such as shows, casino night, family weekend, carnivals, and much more. I've had such a great experience at Northern Arizona University because of the friendly people, beautiful weather, and great education.”

    • “After being awarded a Fulbright Scholarship, I was given a choice between three colleges. I chose Northern Arizona University because it is located in a charming small town in the mountains. It was a big change for me, because I grew up on the edge of the Sahara desert, in a country as flat as the ocean. It's been three years already since I moved to Flagstaff and let's just say that picking Northern Arizona University was the best decision I ever made in my life. The people are the nicest, most welcoming individuals one can find in America. There are lots of national parks and monuments around Flagstaff, including the Grand Canyon and ruins of Native American civilizations. Thanks to Northern Arizona University, you can also find people from all over the world in Flagstaff. I also found dedicated teachers who are very helpful. Each year a teacher would invite me to celebrate holidays like Thanksgiving with his family. Thus, I get to learn about American culture both inside and outside of the classroom. The campus is small and beautiful and it is really easy for me to get to my classes or the dining halls. My favorite place to study is the Cline Library, where I can check out a laptop and an individual room and enjoy a quiet learning environment.”

    • “As an international student, I have had a valuable experience at Northern Arizona University. Since the first contact with the Center for International Education, I have always found friendly faces that point me in the right direction. When I began at Northern Arizona University, I was afraid because of the language and cultural barriers, but everyone was welcoming and understanding. Every day I enjoy coming to campus because Northern Arizona University allows me to learn and develop as a professional through high quality instruction, career guidance from faculty and staff, and opportunities to work as a tutor and teaching assistant. In addition, I participated in programs like Job Shadow and visiting Warren Buffet in Omaha, Nebraska to enhance my learning experience. I have created professional and personal relationships that will last a lifetime.”
