Welcome to the Northern Arizona University NSSLHA Chapter
NSSLHA (National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association) is the national organization for graduate and undergraduate students interested in the studies of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
The NSSLHA purpose is to:
- Encourage professional interest among college and university students in the study of normal and disordered human communication behavior.
- Assist college and university departments and local organizations interested in speech, hearing and language behavior and disorders.
- Provide professional information.
- Provide a vehicle for student representation in matters of professional concern.
NSSLHA meetings are typically held every Tuesday at 6:30 PM in Room 321 in the Health Professions Building (No. 66). However, with changing schedules due to holidays or vacation breaks, meetings are frequently rescheduled. If you would like to attend a meeting, please contact the NSSLHA advisor, Dr. Mary Towle Harmon (firstname.lastname@example.org), or check out the NSSLHA board on the third floor of Health Professions.
NSSLHA is involved in lots of fun events. We participate in the Next Chapter Book Club, make Valentines for local residents residing in assisted living facilities, read books with the children at Barnes and Noble, participate in free speech/language screenings for Kiddie Clinic, and sponsor different fundraisers for local non-profit organizations. Please check out the NSSLHA board for more events!Organization LinksContact Information
