You can apply for all of the following scholarships through
the Department of Dental Hygiene Office, room 202 in building 66.
American
Dental Hygienists' Association Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- have a certified associate's degree or
bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
- be a graduate of a certified associate degree
program (if you can provide evidence of acceptance as a full-time bachelor's
degree candidate)
- be a licensed dental hygienist who holds a
bachelor's degree or can provide evidence of acceptance as a full-time master's
degree candidate

Feugate
and Mansfield Dental Hygiene Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- be a student in the Dental Hygiene program who
demonstrates
- financial
need
- scholastic
ability
- service
to the department, community, and/or profession of dentistry/dental hygiene
- a beginning dental hygiene student who will
commit to working in state-designated rural communities for a period of three
years after graduation

NDCHealth
Scholarship for Dental Hygiene
Eligibility: you must be a student in the Dental Hygiene
program at Northern Arizona University. Preference is given to Arizona residents.

McClure Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- be a student enrolled in the Dental Hygiene
program
- in good academic standing
- demonstrate financial need

Source Healthcare Analytics Scholarship
Criteria: students in the dental hygiene program with preference given to Arizona residents.
Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students
Criteria:
- low income
- comes from environment that inhibits education
- on public assistance
- lived in health professions shortage area
- desire to work in underserved area
LDS Scholarship
Kathleen Heident DH Scholarship
Criteria:
- enrolled as a full-time undergraduate majoring in dental bygiene at NAU
- maintains a 3.0 grade point average
- must be a member of one of the following Native American Tribes:
- first preference to a member of the Navajo Tribe
- second preference to a member of the Hopi Tribe
- demonstrates financial need
Dental Hygiene Scholarship Fund
- 3.0 grade point average
- demonstrates financial need
- in good standing in the dental hygiene department
College
of Health and Human Services scholarships
Apply
Apply through the executive dean’s office.
Arnn
Memorial Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- be an undergraduate student
- have been accepted into the professional portion
of one of the programs in the health science field
- preference will be given, when possible, to
Native Americans

Flagstaff
Medical Center-Health Professions Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- be a full-time junior or senior undergraduate or
graduate student
- be majoring in an academic discipline within the
School of Health Professions
- have a GPA of 3.0 or above
- be a resident of the Northern Arizona region
- be a US citizen
- display evidence of commitment to health care
field by volunteer work, community involvement, or similar contributions
Following graduation from School of Health Professions, you
are expected to consider working at Flagstaff Medical Center.

P. McElwain Health Professions Scholarship
Eligibility: you must
- be a full-time junior or senior undergraduate or
graduate student
- be pursuing any major in the School of Health
Professions
- have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- be a US citizen
- display evidence of a commitment to the health
care field through volunteer work, community involvement, or similar
contributions
