BS in Dental Hygiene: Online degree completion program
The Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Degree Completion Program (BSDHCP) is specifically designed for dental hygienists with an associate's degree, diploma, or certificate in dental hygiene from a regionally accredited institution. Recently, we have decided to begin admitting students from regionally accredited institutions who are currently enrolled in an associate's degree, diploma, or certificate programs in dental hygiene. Students currently in a program must work more closely with the academic advisor for the Degree Completion Program to determine eligibility.
The BSDHCP will enhance your clinical knowledge and promote
career advancement in:
- management
- education
- public health
- research
With the degree, you can move into a new field related to
dental hygiene, pursue a master's degree, or strengthen professional skills in:
- communication
- evidence-based practice
- computer use
- statistics
You can study anywhere—all classes are online.
This program consists of 300/400 level college courses. Upon completion of these upper-division courses, you will receive your
bachelor's degree.

Complete the DH Completion application and the university undergraduate admission
application through extended campus. If you do not complete the appropriate
application, you will be classified under the wrong student plan and campus.
Dental hygiene extended campus must meet all university and
departmental requirements for graduation. To help you graduate you can apply
for non- traditional credit if you have fewer than 90 transfer credits.
