information
Northern Arizona University’s Athletic Training program is accredited by CAATE (Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education). We are the only state institution in Arizona with such a program and one of just two CAATE-accredited institutions in the state. Our ATEP is a mandatory 2-year (24 months) program, regardless of previous schooling.
After admission to NAU, the student must apply to the Athletic Training program. Admission decisions are based on the coursework completed, grade point average (3.0 minimum), experience in athletic training, letter of application, letters of recommendation, and an interview. Review of applications will begin February 15th and continue until all available spots are filled (approximately 30 students).
Students applying for admission must have a completed undergraduate degree before starting the MS in Athletic Training program.
