Angel is a senior studying environmental science and policy at Chapman University in Orange, California. For the past 3 years, he has been the Resident Advisor for the Greenhouse Living Learning Community at Chapman –a residence hall that promotes an environmentally-conscious life style through service trips involving natural habitat conservation and preservation initiatives. Aside from being a full-time student, Angel manages his own small recycling business that he started in 2001. Through his work, he has helped over 30 companies implement large waste management programs that have reduced landfill waste in his community. Aside from school and work, Angel enjoys camping, backpacking, and running cross country and track and field. Angel will be the first in his family of six to graduate from college and hopes to motivate others in his community to pursue a higher education.
