MS in environmental sciences & policy, paleoenvironmental sciences emphasis
Paleoenvironmental scientists investigate the
recent geological past to learn about natural and human-caused environmental, vegetation, and climatic changes. In this interdisciplinary curricular track, you’ll develop
broad competence in earth and environmental sciences, while specializing in an
analytical technique used to reconstruct long-term environmental variability.
Curriculum
The emphasis in Paleoenvironmental Sciences
requires students to take 37 credit hours, including 3 thesis hours
incorporating original field or laboratory research, and present a public
defense of the thesis. Students take a set of courses designed in
consultation with their thesis committees.

Policy MS degree with an emphasis in Paleoenvironmental Sciences:
Fill out an online application with NAU Graduate College and follow additional
instructions. The application deadline is February 1 each year for admission in
the Fall semester of the same year.
