Graduation  

The registrar lists deadlines for the submission of graduation paperwork under the enrollment calendars of each semester. For 2012, these deadlines are as follows:

• Fall 2013 Graduation application deadline – April 15, 2013
• Spring 2014 Graduation application deadline – November 15, 2013

A few days before the deadline, a graduating student needs to first fill out their graduation papers and get all of the necessary signatures for their majors and minors. the form is labeled "Graduation Application and Instructions" on the registrar's forms page. The student then needs to complete the graduation questionnaire. On completion of this the department chair will e-mail the student to set up an interview

The department chair will check the student’s grad papers against Degree progress on LOUIE and may follow up on some of the answers given on the questionnaire. The appointment, known as the Exit Interview, typically lasts about 15-20 minutes.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics hosts a graduation dinner for its graduates each spring. This event, for those graduating in spring or fall, is held in late April. Details are sent out to graduating students early in the spring semester.
