Graduate certificate in applied statistics
Statisticians are in high demand and needed in a variety of
workforces. Supplement your degree with a certificate in applied statistics.
Courses
To earn this certificate, you must complete 15 credit hours
of statistics coursework, chosen from the following list of courses. All
courses in the program must be selected under the direction of your adviser:
- STA 570 (required)
- 12 hours of coursework, selected from the
following: STA 471, 472, 571, 572, 574, 575, and 676
As an option, one graduate-level statistics course from your
home department may be allowed (if approved by the coordinator of the graduate
certificate in applied statistics). No more than one of the 400-level courses
listed above may be used for the certificate program.

Program requirements
To be considered for this program, you must have earned a
bachelor's degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. In addition, you
must have successfully completed an undergraduate course in statistics.
