E-mail Lists  

The following e-mail lists are used to communicate with the School of Forestry.

  • Forestry-Faculty@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry tenure, tenure-track, and research faculty (static list maintained by the Executive Director of the School of Forestry)
  • Forestry-Faculty-All@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry faculty as reflected in NAU records (updated nightly based upon NAU records, plus a few additions)
  • Forestry-Staff@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry full-time permanent staff (static list maintained by the Executive Director of the School of Forestry)
  • Forestry-Staff-All@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry staff (primary affiliation) as reflected in NAU records (updated nightly based upon NAU records, plus a few additions)
  • Forestry-Graduate@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry MF, MSF, and Ph.D. Students (updated nightly based upon NAU records, plus a few additions)
  • Forestry-All@lists.nau.edu - School of Forestry employees (faculty and staff, but not necessarily student workers) and graduate students.

NOTES:

  • No School of Forestry list is based solely on official NAU records. Lists may also contain other individuals affiliated with the School of Forestry.
  • It is difficult, if not impossible, to determine to which Forestry list a particular e-mail message was sent based on the To: field. Please use your greeting to inform individuals to whom the message was sent. Also, because of this quirk, do not use the "Reply" or "Reply to All" options when attempting to send to a list.
  • College lists are also available. In general, however, for School of Forestry communications you are better off to simply use the lists presented above. In addition, College lists have somewhat limited posting privileges.

The following e-mail list is for communicating with Forestry Undergraduate Students and is updated nightly based on declared major. Posting to this list is controlled.

E-mail lists for classes

The university maintains and updates nightly, current email lists for all NAU classes. To send email to all students in your class(es) log into:

From this page, you will see a mailing list entry for every course for which you are listed as an instructor. Additionally, the page contains information about how the lists are maintained, how to use the lists, and other features such as viewing owners (who else is listed as instructor), and viewing members (the students in each list).
