Civil and environmental engineering minors
Our program offers two minors, one in civil engineering and
one in environmental engineering.
Minor in Civil Engineering
This
minor prepares you to define and solve civil engineering problems within two
selected major civil engineering areas from:
- structures
- geotechnical
- water resources
- transportation
Degree requirements
To earn this minor, you must complete at total of 19-22 credit
hours:
- CENE 251, 253 and 253L
- Electives (pick two blocks) from:
- Structural block: CENE 376, 438
- Water block: CENE 333, 333L, 336
- Geotechnical block: CENE 383, 383L, 450
- Traffic block: CENE 420, 418
Minor in Environmental Engineering
This minor prepares you define and solve complex
environmental engineering problems by creating, evaluating, and documenting
sustainable engineering designs.
Degree requirements
To earn this minor, you must complete a total of 20 credit
hours:
- CENE 150, 150L, 280, 281L and 440
- nine credit hours from CENE 330, 332, 335, 410,
430, 434, and 480
