But is she? In this wonderfully poignant and pertinent play by
Suzan Zeder, famed Theatre for Young Audiences playwright, we follow the path
of one young girl as she moves from ignorance and pain to maturity and self-awareness,
while discovering that people are often not what they appear, or what they are
called by those who live in fear. Suitable for children, and a story for the whole family!

Romeo and Juliet

of Shakespeare's dramas is more universally recognized or cherished
than Romeo and Juliet. The
tragedy of first-love, families-torn-apart, and children who pay
the ultimate price of "brawling love and loving hate" is
repeated poignantly and unfortunately on history's stages. The
star-crossed lovers, their touching hope in the power of true
love, and their tragic unraveling is told again, this time on the stage of
the Clifford E. White Theatre in November.
Dead Man's Cell Phone
by Sarah Ruhl
The Studio Theatre
February 22, 23, 27, 28 and March 1 & 2 at 8:00pm and matinees on February 24 and March 3 at 2:00pm

guy at the next table just bit the big one and his cell phone won’t stop
ringing. When Jean answers his phone, her fateful act dials her deeply
into the dead man’s mysterious business and his eccentric family—not to mention
trips to the afterlife and the black market. This imaginative and
dark-edged new comedy is the captivating odyssey of a woman forced to confront
her assumptions about morality, redemption and the need to connect in a
technology-obsessed world. This wildly imaginative new comedy is the kind of
edgy, risk taking material that’s catnip for adventurous theatregoers.
(Mature themes and some strong language.)

Pride and Prejudice

of the best loved stories in English literature, Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice is retold in a
refreshingly fast-paced and engaging new adaptation by Joseph Hanreddy and J.R.
Sullivan. The story centers on a lively,
enthusiastic, and discombobulated family, the Bennets. At the helm is the determined, but terribly
trivial Mrs. Bennet, her flummoxed but doting husband and their five daughters,
all of marriageable age. So imagine the commotion when a wealthy young
man and his fetching friend arrive on the scene. The daughters are eager,
with one exception, the stunning, and independent, Elizabeth. She has no interest in the attractive and
mysterious Mr. Darcy, who is equally aloof. Their tangled relationship
captures our imagination, and we hope for love to triumph. A timeless
tale of wit, romance and the battle of the sexes--this adaptation is so much
fun!
