Percussion Discovery  

The Percussion Discovery program is a monthly adventure for 7th-10th graders into the world of percussion instruments – fantastic sounds and related performance techniques. You will have a chance to learn about and play dozens of unique instruments from around the world. With music ranging from the mysterious screeches of the waterphone to the magnificent thunder of orchestral timpani, you’ll find this class to be rich and diverse.

One important part of this program is the challenging examination of the standard percussion instruments connected to scholastic bands and orchestras. Through studying these more common instruments you will learn about and refine your own musical abilities.
