Crystal Peebles received a B.M.
in Music Education from East Carolina University and a M.M. and Ph.D. in Music
Theory from The Florida State University. Crystal has presented research at a
variety of conferences including the International Conference for Music
Perception and Cognition, the Annual Meeting for the Society for Music Theory,
and numerous regional conferences. Her research interests include music cognition,
specifically the perception of musical form and the influence of motion on the
perception of music, the analysis of formal processes in post- 1945
music, and the influence of performance practice on the perception of musical
structure.
