Tom Sheeley, guitar, has performed nationally and internationally as a soloist, as well as having been featured in chamber music concerts with groups such as the Blair Quartet, the St. Petersburg Quartet, The Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, The Flagstaff festival of the Arts Summer Orchestra, The Sinfonica de Maracaibo Venezuela and The Sinfonica Nacional de Ecuador.

Since winning first place in the first Manuel M. Ponce international guitar competition which was organized to honor the 100th birthday of the composer that Andres Segovia claimed was 'the best composer for guitar'. 

Tom has performed at the European International Festival in Geneva, Switzerland; at the Concours International de Guitare in Paris, France, where he was invited to present a guest recital during the week of this highly prestigious international Guitar Competition.

In 1995 he was selected through national auditions to join the Artistic Ambassador Program of the United States Information Agency and Arts America. Following his acceptance into this program--which included guitarists for the first time in 1995--he was featured in a highly successful tour of Latin America which included solo recitals, chamber concerts and master classes.

A student of Manuel Lopez Ramos and Patrick Read, he currently teaches at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, where he directs the guitar studies and teaches courses in American Music, Contemporary Music Literature and studies of Music.
