Audition for Acceptance

All applicants must audition to be accepted into the School of Music degree programs. All Arizona residents must audition live at the Northern Arizona University Mountain Campus.

You may schedule your in-person audition through our online audition scheduling site. Please click here to self-schedule. If you have additional questions about auditions, you may call the School of Music office (928-523-3731) or email the School of Music at music@nau.edu.

If you cannot attend any of the scheduled audition dates, you may still be able to arrange a private audition.

While we strongly encourage out-of-state and international students to audition live on our beautiful campus, we also understand that scheduling and other circumstances do not always allow a visit. For that reason, out-of-state and international students may submit audition materials via Acceptd in lieu of an on-campus audition.

Audition Dates

The following dates have been scheduled for auditions to be accepted for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Before scheduling an audition, students must apply to Northern Arizona University and the School of Music.

For full scholarship consideration, audition on or before March 5, 2016, and submit your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the NAU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid priority date.
