Stephanie Flood ‘14 has published the short story “Dedication” in The Story Shack.

Ben McClendon ‘12 is a current instructor for the Writing Program. He has published “Jimmy” in Indiana Review, “Modern History” Chautauqua Literary Journal, “Oracular” The Minutiae, “Hypothetical #6” Redivider, Hazards of Perpetual Motion” Yemmassee “Experiment #4,” and “[Fear of Touch],” “Goodnight, Wesley Crusher,” in  Toad Suck Review “Anxiety of Immolation,” in Cæsura, “In Case of Unrest,” in RATTLE, “Inconsequential,” in The Chariton Review, “Revolutionary Hymns,” The Chariton Review.  He has recently been accepted to a doctoral program to continue his creative writing studies.

Lis Venetiou ‘12 is a current instructor for the Writing Program. She has interviewed local artists and written and The Artist's Profile in Northern Arizona Mountain Living Magazine for the October and December issues of 2012 as well as January, February, March and April of 2013.

Brian Anderson ‘12 published an essay in Prick of the Spindle. He currently attends PhD in creative writing program at Oklahoma State University.

Khara House, ‘11 recently published, The Atomy, Four Ties Lit Review, Bluestem, Enhance, Bolts of Silk, Red River Review, and The Faircloth Review. She is currently working as the Assistant Property Manager for a local apartment property, a job that has been uniquely prepared for by the experience of working in the NAU University Writing Program. She hosts several writing challenges through her blog, and works as a part-time tutor.

Bo Schwabacher, ‘11, currently teaches creative writing at the Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy.

Mark Gula ‘10 is a current lecturer/technical writing. He was awarded an Elizabeth George Foundation artistic grant for unpublished fiction writers, poets, and emerging playwrights in the amount of $10,200 to cover his living expenses for the summer of 2013.

Brian Malnes ‘10 attends the University of Lousiana in pursuit of his doctoral degree in literature with an emphasis in creative writing.

Brooke Wonders’ (’08) Brooke Wonders’ fabulist fiction has appeared in Clarkesworld, Electric Velocipede, and Monkeybicycle, among others; her creative nonfiction can be found in Brevity: A Journal of Concise Nonfiction. She was a finalist in the fourth quarter of Writers of the Future 2012 and is a graduate of Clarion UCSD 2011. Recent awards include the Anne Hopewell Selby Award for her literary criticism and the Goodnow Award in Prose for her creative nonfiction. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In her spare time, she blogs at girlwonders.com.

Sacha Siskonen’s (‘08) swork has recently appeared in Crab Orchard Review, Alice Blue Review, Word Riot and Spork. Her poetry chapbook, Turbulence, is forthcoming from Dancing Girl Press in the spring of 2013.
