Welcome to Northern Arizona University Budget Office

The University Budget Office is part of the Institutional Effectiveness unit along with the Office of Planning and Institutional Research (PAIR). The mission of the Institutional Effectiveness (IE) unit is to collaborate with other University units to develop data, information, analyses and reports, and to assist the University in achieving its goals through strategic planning and budgeting and special projects. The IE unit also assists and facilitates building flexible and substantive information technology databases and reporting infrastructure.

The University Budget Office is responsible for developing overall budget planning, monitoring the budgetary resources of the University, providing general analytic support, administering the NSTAR budgeting system, issuing contracts, and processing faculty payroll.
