Itinerary - Thursday, May 8
Hotel & Reunion Check-in: 3-4:15 p.m.
Please plan to meet in the lobby of the Drury Inn of Flagstaff at 3 p.m. to receive your reunion materials. Hotel check-in also begins at 3 p.m. If you arrive before then, please check with the hotel to see if your room is ready for an early check-in. If you are staying at a different location, please plan to meet at the Drury at the times indicated below as this will be the departure and return location for our reunion bus transportation.
Campus Bus Tour: 4:15-5:15 p.m.
The bus will depart from the Drury promptly at 4:15 p.m. for a guided tour of the NAU Campus and all of its changes in the last 50 years.
Riordan Mansion State Historic Park Tour & Reception: 5:15-7:30 p.m.
Following the campus tour the bus will deliver you to the Riordan Mansion State Historic Park.
There you will have an exclusive reception for the Class of 1964, guided tour of the mansion, and reunion veterans will receive their NAU Alumni Veteran Medallion from Retired Lt. Col. C. Andrew Griffin and a student veteran. The bus will return you to the Drury following this event. As you all will remember, Flagstaff evenings become cool very rapidly and you are encouraged to bring a jacket or sweater for this activity.
Friday, May 9
Enjoy some Free Time Together/Visit your old dorm: 9:00 a.m.
Have a leisurely morning doing whatever you wish and be sure to eat a snack before your activities begin at 11:15 a.m. NAU representatives will be available in the Drury lobby at 9:00 a.m. to take those of you who want to on a visit to your old dorm.
Class Photo: 11:15-11:45 p.m.
Please be ready in the lobby of the Drury at 11:15 to board the bus to Old Main, where you will don your cap & gown for the class photo on the front steps before heading to the Skydome for the Commencement ceremony.
Commencement: 12-2:30 p.m.
The bus will deliver you to the Skydome at noon where you will be professionally photographed before commencement begins at 1 p.m. Golden Graduates will lead the procession and be seated in the front row with the 2014 graduates. Your spouses and guests will be seated in a designated area near you on the skydome floor.
Please note: If your are not planning to stay at your hotel on Friday night, you must check out of your room at the designated time on Friday morning. You will need to store your belongings with the concierge or in your vehicle. The bus will return to the Drury following dinner.
Reunion Dinner & Tour of the Cline Library 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Following commencement, the bus will take you to the Cline Library for a guided tour, an afternoon meal in Special Collections and Archives area, small presentation and opportunity to share memories. The bus will return you to the Drury Hotel after.
Saturday, May 10
Lunch and visit to Sedona Noon-4 p.m.
Get together with the class before returning home at Ken’s Creekside Restaurant in Sedona. Read a Lunch Invitation Letter from John Martin, Ann Hondrum and Jim Sherman. Space is limited, email John Martin at email@example.com.
This Itinerary is tentative and subject to little changes!
Things to know: The bus will be the transportation to and from the reunion activities, it will drive onto the Skydome floor to drop off and pick up at commencement. You can safely leave your belongings on the locked bus during events.
Dress code: Of course Flagstaff/business comfort, casual slacks, shirt, sweater, sport-coat, tie, comfortable shoes, comfortable outfit, classy and sassy.

ASC/NAU Oral History Project
Dr. Gary Emanuel, Associate Professor in Educational
Leadership has established an Oral History Project. This oral history project is focused on
collecting oral histories from graduates and faculty of Arizona State College/Northern
Arizona University. The target audience includes graduates and faculty of the
College of Education from 1960-1969. As the project has grown, the oral
histories of the graduates and faculty have come from all faculty and graduates
during the years 1934-1979. As of May 27, 2010, 73 interviews were completed
with 53 housed on the web site, ascnauoralhistoryproject.pbworks.com
