Student Veteran Orientation (Fall Semester)
Students who have served or are serving in the U.S. Military, and
who will begin classes in August on the Flagstaff Mountain Campus are
highly encouraged to attend our in-person Student
The one-day “Veteran Track” is brought to you by the NAU
Veteran Success Center, featuring veteran- and military-specific agenda items
relevant and highly useful to jump-starting your academic success.
The in-person orientation will offer:
- VA education benefits process and NAU
- Presentations on key campus resources by
academic college representatives
- One-on-one academic advising and class schedule
- An opportunity to meet our staff and fellow
- A student veteran panel to answer any and all of
- A campus tour
- Complementary morning refreshments, lunch and
Prior to registering for the Student Veteran in-person
Orientation, you must:
- Pay your enrollment
- Complete the online portion of Orientation. You’ll
receive a link in your personal and NAU email accounts after you pay your
- Complete Priority Enrollment online so academic
advisors can confirm your transfer credits and build a preliminary schedule for
your first semester. Do this early for class availability and to initiate your
GI Bill benefits. You’ll have time later to go over your class schedule and
make changes if needed.
- Send your immunization records to
Campus Health Services.
NOTE: If you are older than 21 years and have earned fewer
than 24 credit hours of post-high school work, call (928) 523-8387 to ensure
you receive the link for Online Orientation. Once you complete the online
orientation, you can register for the Student Veteran
Orientation. Registering in the Student Veteran Orientation will excuse
you from the Freshman Orientation
